U.S. Department of Justice Files Suit Against Google, Alleging Ad Tech Monopoly Practices
The New York Times reported that the U.S. Department of Justice, in conjunction with eight individual states, has filed a lawsuit against Google accusing it of “illegally abusing a monopoly of the technology that powers” the ad tech ecosystem. This is the fifth lawsuit the U.S. government has filed against Google since 2020. Governments around the world have sought to put more controls in place on the tech giant.
