## **TechCrunch: India Hits Google With $162 Million Fine For Anti-Competitive Practices with Android**

Google will face an $162 million fine from India, where it dominates 97% of the smartphone market, for anti-competitive practices, reported [TechCrunch](https://techcrunch.com/2022/10/20/india-fines-google-162-million-for-anti-competitive-practices-on-android/). This comes as Google has invested billions in the country over the past decade. The fine states that Google's large market share in the country has resulted in the "denial of market access for competing search apps."

## **MediaPost: US ad market dips for 4th month in a row**
