## As of Q4 2022, the Google and Apple mobile app stores have more ‘abandoned’ apps than recently-updated apps

Pixalate’s recent [Q4 2022 Abandoned Mobile Apps Report](https://www.pixalate.com/q4-2022-abandoned-apps-report-mobile) provides an in-depth analysis of abandoned apps across the Google and Apple app stores. “Abandoned” means the app has not received an update in over two years. [This week](https://www.pixalate.com/blog/q4-2022-google-and-apple-mobile-app-stores-have-more-abandoned-apps-than-recently-updated-apps), we compare abandoned mobile apps to recently-updated apps (updated within 6 months) across the Google Play and Apple App stores in Q4 2022.

## *Pixalate in the news:*

[Ad Exchanger](https://www.adexchanger.com/privacy/the-ftc-lost-their-last-republican-commissioner-what-happens-next/) quoted Pixalate's SVP of Public Policy, Ads Privacy and COPPA Compliance, Allison Lefrak, in their article titled "The FTC Lost Their Last Republican Commissioner. What Happens Next?"

Allison stated:

"The immediate ramifications are twofold: The FTC may now be able to move faster on enforcement actions and rulemaking, but their actions will no longer have a stamp of bipartisanship, which has long been a hallmark of the FTC.

There’s also the potential that we will see more businesses follow in the footsteps of *Kochava* and refuse to settle with the FTC."

## *Pixalate at MWC Barcelona:*
